Who we are
The NSW Minerals Council is the leading industry association representing the state’s minerals industry, providing a united voice for our members.
We’re proud of the work we do, and the forward-thinking companies who make up our members. Read on to learn more about us, and the people we represent.
Mining is a key economic driver for the state, supporting thousands of jobs and generating billions of dollars a year in economic activity, especially in regional NSW. The NSW mining industry also contributes taxes and royalties to the NSW Government which provides the essential infrastructure and services we all rely on like nurses, teachers, and police.
The NSW Minerals Council works closely with governments, industry groups, and business and community leaders, so our member companies can continue to operate as part of a strong, responsible, and sustainable mining industry in NSW.
We also support an effective regulatory framework in which the NSW mining industry can operate profitably and make a meaningful contribution to the state and people of NSW.
