2019 NSW Women in Mining Award Winners announced

The winners of the NSW Mining Women in Mining Awards have been announced today, recognising the contribution women make to our world-class mining industry in NSW.
Minister for Mental Health, Regional Youth and Women, The Hon Bronnie Taylor MLC, joined over 300 guests, 20 Members of Parliament and special guests at the Awards event at NSW Parliament House.
“Congratulations to the NSW Mining Council for their initiative in presenting the 2019 Women in Mining Awards. These awards are a wonderful opportunity to recognise outstanding women working in the mining industry. Through their innovation and success these women are paving the way for future generations interested in joining this important industry,” Mrs Taylor said.
“Our NSW Women in Mining Awards acknowledge the highly skilled women who are making an important contribution to a successful mining industry here in NSW,” NSW Minerals Council CEO Stephen Galilee said today.
“All today’s finalists highlight the efforts being made to promote greater opportunity and participation for women in mining, and the increasing number of career paths that are available to women in our sector,” Mr Galilee said.
