NSW Mining presenting live radio broadcast for Newcastle Knights season launch

Industry 5 February 2015

The start of the NRL season is coming and to celebrate the announcement of the third Voice for Mining Family Day at Hunter Stadium we are presenting KOFM’s live broadcast at a major event for Newcastle Knights fans.

Voice for Mining Family Day is the pinnacle of a partnership between the Newcastle Knights and NSW Minerals Council. On Saturday March 28, Hunter Stadium will be transformed into a sea of hi-vis orange as mining families and Knights fans show their support for the Newcastle Knights and our mining community.

And with the game being held on the same day as the 2015 NSW state election, it is more important than ever that the community comes together to show decision makers just how much support there is for our industry in the Hunter region.

We’re promoting Voice for Mining Family Day at the club’s season launch for members this Saturday at Mayfield. Newcastle’s number one radio station, KOFM, will be broadcasting from Wests Mayfield from 9am to 11am and there will be lots of activities for the family with a BBQ, jumping castle and the chance to meet players.

The event is limited to club members, but you can purchase a membership online or call the Newcastle Knights on 1300 465 644 and show your receipt for entry. Or visit the membership team on the day to sign up and gain entry.
