NSW Mining’s ongoing support for Westpac Rescue Choppers

Uncategorized 20 January 2015

“

The NSW minerals industry will extend its 30-year partnership with the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service for a further three years with a further contribution of $270,000.

“The service the Westpac Rescue choppers provide to our industry and to our communities in the Hunter and Northern NSW is invaluable,” NSW Minerals Council Chair, Stefanie Loader said today.

“The contribution of $270,000 over three years from the NSW Minerals Council will ensure everyone in the community has access to this vital service that helps save so many lives each year,” Ms Loader said.

The strong partnership between the NSW Minerals Council and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was on display at last year’s Voice for Mining Family Day, where fourth generation coal miner Kirsty Spiteri delivered the game ball to Hunter Stadium from the chopper.

“We are very proud to have the NSW Mining logo continue to fly across the skies on the Westpac Rescue Helicopter. This long-lasting partnership is a testament to the professional staff and valued service provided to help people in regional NSW when they need it most,” Ms Loader said.
