Protestors put themselves and others at risk
Anti-mining activists have once again put themselves and others in danger, this time in a political stunt around Whitehaven’s Maules Creek construction site and Tarrawonga mine.
Construction sites and mining operations involve heavy machinery, large trucks, excavators and other equipment.
Safety is paramount and NSW mining companies employ world class operational and communication protocols to keep people safe.
Interfering with construction sites and mining operations is illegal and places those involved and others at serious risk.
Having a passionate view on an issue is fine and everyone is entitled to their say.
However these reckless actions by activists put themselves, mine employees and emergency service personnel at serious risk of injury or worse.
