State and Federal one stop shop agreement welcome

“The collaborative arrangement signed today, between the NSW and the Federal Governments, to develop a one stop shop for environmental approvals will provide certainty for NSW mining companies and re-energize much needed investment in our state,” NSW Minerals Council CEO, Stephen Galilee said today.

“It’s been a tough year for mining with the fall in commodity prices, a high Australian dollar and deep uncertainty within the local mining industry with regard to NSW planning system.”

“It’s welcome news that the NSW Government will work with the Federal Government to fast track the approvals process with a single streamlined and efficient system.  This will help attract much-needed investment to NSW,” Mr Galilee said.
